Artwork from the Memory Cafe show at Nevill HallVisitors to The Memory Café at Ysbyty Tri Chwm recently worked on a short project looking at faces and portraiture. Using photographs, acetate and acrylic paint the group worked with community artist Lucy Bateman to produce a set of self portraits. This exhibition shows some of their work from that project. The 5 oil paintings on the right hand wall are a response from artist Alan Bateman to the same photographs.

Artwork from the Memory Cafe exhibition at Nevill HallInside Out Cymru is a Community Arts project that places artists to run workshops in a variety of venues across many areas of greater Gwent. The groups offer a supportive, relaxed and friendly environment in which participants can try out all manner of art forms with a chance to meet new people, forge friendships and learn from the expertise of the professional artists running the group.  We aim to build confidence and self- esteem as well as new skills in the chosen art form and most importantly, we aim to have fun.
